Press release 31.3.2015 Free for publication / AAVE FESTIVAL 7. – 12.4.2015 HELSINKI Alternative AudioVisual Event

The sixth edition of AAVE celebrates the plurality of moving images by presenting films, video art, live performances and exhibitions. During the first festival day Tuesday 7.4.2015 we will also offer the possibility to project your own works at home or in the streets of Helsinki as part of the participatory pop-up event NIGHT OF THE BEAMERS.

The new catalogue of AAVE Festival is now downloadable from our website. While exhibitions, Malmitalo’s opening screening, festival warm-up event, seminar and Night of the Beamers stay free of charge, there is a small admission fee of 5 euros to the screenings and the Live Cinema shows (evenings at WHS Theatre Union includes 3 shows for 10€). All rights to program changes are reserved.

HEY YOU - BEAM ON TUESDAY 7.4.!

Night of the Beamers is a night full of projections in the surfaces of Helsinki. Everyone can participate from their own home: join us with your own shadow theatre, video projections or a rhythmic light show. All you need is a video or slide projector, your own personal magic lantern or even a flashlight. Project on the streets, to the wall of a house, trees in the park, in your own balcony. You can even use a moving vehicle. You may also do it inside and invite an audience.

For participating upload your own profile to our website www.nightbeamers.org.

Concept by DELEGAATIO and production by AAVE Festival.
