NÄKÖKULMA directed by Zagros Manuchar (2007) 21min, DVD
A short tragicomic film about racism, violence and friendship among immigrants in Finland.

Zagros Manuchar (b. 1990) is a filmmaker born in Iraqi Kurdistan. Manuchar, who moved to Finland as a refugee in 1994, got interested about filmmaking at the age of 14 and his first independent feature film Upstream was produced in 2006, followed by the award winning short film Point of View a year later.

Alongside directing Manuchar has also acted. His eight years in the theater world lead him to roles in Finnish TV-series and commercials.

Formerly focused on mainly stories about racism and youth, Manuchar has in his new film For this moment still, taken a step towards more abstract and ambiguous narration.
