This in happening in Finland also: recently 75% cut in Finnish National Gallery´s budget for new artworks (4 units: Ateneum Art Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma etc) was announced and the ministry of Education & Culture is planning to put together the funding of the Fine Arts with several other fields of arts, including film, photography, comics & graphic novels etc... their way of reducing funding in the field, I guess...
